My Water Baby

My water baby. Baby Spa in Kensington was a beautiful treat for both Amelie and I.

Everyone was super welcoming and I actually felt excited to see what was involved. Amelie was already pretty content as the room was very appealing with low lighting, gentle music and swirling mobiles hanging everywhere.

After being weighed, a swim nappy put on, a BUBBY float was placed around Amelie's head and she was then ready to be submerged into the water. Amelie was like a duck to water, she kicked back and instantly looked chilled. She bobbed about kicking and stretching out her legs, having a good look around. Whenever she caught my eye she gave me a beaming smile as if to say, "thanks mum, this is the best!"

I found myself watching her in total ore of how she was taking it all in her stride trying something new again! It made me excited at the thought of the countless times she would discover things for the first time and I can watch on proudly.

After bobbing around, the timer went off and the therapist gently took Amelie out of the water and cuddled her up in a warm fluffy towel. She was then laid on a changing mat and given a full body massage, including her little shoulders and everything! Amelie was more then happy to oblige and I was rather jealous as I could feel the tension in my own back and shoulders... I think they may have missed a trick here, I think mummies would sign up for a well deserved massage too!

Once her massage was complete she smelt like a delightful little salad who had one chilled look about her. As soon as we left she fell straight to sleep. I think she is a fan of receiving spa treatments, mother like daughter then!

It was a gorgeous afternoon and my only regret is I didn't take her sooner. Thank you so much to Baby Spa for inviting us along it will definitely make the memory box!
