Moving home with a baby...

So we moved with a 10 month old, a cat and grumpy removal men!

It was no easy task but we made it and we now have more space for Amelie to charge around on her walker and a garden to use three days of the year when we have the odd sunny summer moment!

I had planned to take lots of pictures in a stylized clever manner of us surrounded by boxes, inside the van sat on our sofa etc but the reality was there was no time to do anything other then look very stressed stopping Amelie from unpacking each box as we packed it and not squashing the cat as it meowed for lots of attention. We in fact had to move twice as there was a gap between completing on our old property and completing on the new one, so we had to move in with my wonderful parents for a week with our entire belongings. We were extremely grateful for the well needed help and babysitting on tap.

It just so happened it was also a very busy week where I had six meetings, a film screening, a voice over and a Bedazzled party to manage. Somehow we managed to hold it together, Iain and I had very minimal squabbles, considering and we even got a date night in. The date night was brilliant and a refreshing break from the chaos, we had a chance to laugh at the madness and get excited about the next chapter in the new place.

I felt a little emotional leaving our first home where we brought Amelie home from the hospital and realising she wouldn't remember it. However as soon as we finally stepped through the door of our new place the small flat was soon forgotten and I am beyond excited about decorating Amelie's bedroom and the rest of the place. I have been doing tonnes of researching on Pinterest and Instagram, hoping to use lots of home grown brands for our new place.

The only tips I can share on moving with a baby is call upon lots of help where possible so you can pack items without the threat of a little hands trying to help/hinder, smile through the headache, have a supply of lucozade, your favorite tipple and lots of snacks.

We made it, moved in and stress headache finally cured! Family getting settled and this Girl Gang loving the extra space.
